Nine Day Horse Trek

Route: Bash-Kaiyndy — Kaiyndy — Shar Waterfall — Sary-Tal — Kol Tor — Kynda Pass — Chatyr-Tash — Canyon — Kok-Kyia — Cultural Center — Chatyr Kol — Tash Rabat

Day 1:

Bash-Kaiyndy – Kaiyndy Gorge – Shar Waterfall – Yurt Camp
  • Meet the group, horseback riding briefing, and start of the adventure
  • Ride through mountains, rivers, and alpine meadows
  • Ascend (3–4 hours, ~18 km) to Kamak-Suu Plateau (3100 m) with panoramic views of the Shar Waterfall
  • Picnic, photos, and relaxation in nature
  • Descent to yurt camp, dinner & overnight in traditional yurts

Day 2:

Yurt Camp – Sary-Tal
  • Breakfast in the mountains
  • Ride through four remote villages, meeting local nomads
  • Traditional Kyrgyz lunch with a local family
  • Arrival at Sary-Tal Jailoo, dinner & overnight in yurts

Day 3:

Sary-Tal – Kol Tor Lake
  • 4–5 hours on horseback through the scenic At-Bashy Gorge
  • Arrival at the turquoise Kol Tor Lake
  • Relax and camp on the lakeshore

Day 4:

Kol Tor – Kynda Pass – Uzun-Bulak
  • Breakfast by the lake
  • Cross the Kynda Pass (3398 m) with breathtaking mountain views
  • Arrival at Uzun-Bulak, dinner & overnight in tents

Day 5:

Uzun-Bulak – Chatyr-Tash
  • Breakfast in the Ak-Sai Valley
  • Ride across wide pastures with stunning views of the Ak-Sai panorama
  • Arrival at Chatyr-Tash, meet a Kyrgyz family, enjoy national dishes, and overnight in yurts

Day 6:

Chatyr-Tash – Canyon – Kel Suu Lake – Kok-Kyia Camp
  • Breakfast in Ak-Sai Valley
  • Scenic ride through canyons and alpine pastures
  • Arrival at the breathtaking Kel Suu Lake, one of the most beautiful in Kyrgyzstan
  • Walk around the lake (1.5–2 hours), photo stops, and relaxation
  • Descent to Kok-Kyia Camp, overnight at “Jarkyn” lodge

Day 7:

Kok-Kyia – Cultural Center
  • Early departure towards Chatyr Kol side
  • Stop at a small waterfall and canyon en route
  • Evening arrival at the Cultural Center, dinner by the fire & overnight stay

Day 8:

Cultural Center – Chatyr Kol Lake
  • Morning ride to Chatyr Kol, the 3rd largest lake in Kyrgyzstan, located near the Chinese border
  • Birdwatching in this remote paradise for wildlife lovers
  • Dinner & overnight in a yurt on the lakeshore

Day 9:

Chatyr Kol – Tash Rabat
  • After breakfast, ride over the pass to the ancient Tash Rabat Caravanserai, a Silk Road fortress hidden in the mountains
  • Guided tour & exploration of the site
  • Farewell dinner in the evening
